Obituary: Wilma Lee Kittinger

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Wilma Lee Kittinger, 84, of Eldorado, passed away at 9:40 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2012, at Ferrell Hospital.

Wilma was born in Eldorado on April 29, 1927, a daughter of the late Bessie (Wiggins) and Erna Woolard.

She was a member of Restitution Church of God in Eldorado, where she taught Sunday School for several years, was the secretary and treasurer of the Sunday School Class and was treasurer of the Dorcas Society for many years. She was a member of the Saline County Homemakers Education Association.

Wilma had a love for teaching. She taught for over 40 years and retired as a kindergarten aide at the Eldorado Unit No. 4 School District in 1989.

She was the wife of Bill Kittinger, who survives. They were married Oct. 21, 1950.

In addition to her husband, Wilma is survived by a son, Billy (Sally) Kittinger of Eldorado; a sister, Georgia Lou (Jim) Coomes of Eldorado; grandchildren, Logan Andrew Kittinger, Alex Joseph Kittinger, Riley Ann Duckworth, Chase Austin Kittinger and Addison Lynn Kittinger; nieces and nephews, Jeff (Romy) Cox, Eldorado, Jo Ann Head, Mount Vernon; great-niece Taylor Cox; and several cousins.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, George Cox; and a brother and sister-in-law Charles, Jr. and Ruby Kittinger.

Funeral service will be held at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home at 4 p.m. on Monday, March 26, 2012, with Pastor Brian Atra and Jack Wiggins officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 p.m. to service time Monday at the funeral home.
