Obituary: Derald Henson
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Derald Henson, 85, of Eldorado and formerly of Norris City, passed away at 6:30 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2012, at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado.
He was born May 25, 1926, in Norris City, the son of Richard Clay and Cora Lee (Taylor) Henson. He married Frances Lucille Knight on June 10, 1972, and she preceded him in death July 29, 1997. He then married Blanche Moye and she preceded him in death Feb. 6, 2011.
Derald was a U.S. Army Combat Infantry veteran of World War II. He worked as a millwright for the Crysler Corp. and on the railroad and had a passion for Harley Davidson motorcycles. Derald attended Norris City Village Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Norris City American Legion.
Derald is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Carroll and Beverly Henson of Goreville; one niece, Kim Williams; three nephews, Duane and Jason Henson and Bob Connaway; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wives; three sisters, Doris June Skaggs, Judy Manning and Jane Connaway; and a brother, Gerald Henson.
Funeral services for Derald Henson, 85, of Eldorado and formerly of Norris City, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City with the Rev. Rudy Barnett officiating. Burial will be in the Village Cemetery in Norris City with military rites by Carmi VFW and American Legion. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 26, 2012, at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City. Memorials can be made in Derald's honor to the charity of your choice.
