Obituary: Charles D. Harrington

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Charles D. Harrington, 61, of Harrisburg, passed away at 8 a.m., on Friday, March 9, 2012, in the Comfort Living Center of the Veteran's Administration Medical Center of Marion.

He was born in Baton Rouge, La. on Monday, March 5, 1951, the son of the late Leland and Imogene (Spence) Harrington.

Charles answered the call of this nation by serving in the United States Army being assigned with the 101st Airborne Division and after his period of faithful service he was honorably discharged.

He is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Rob and Jadea Harrington of Harrisburg and Greg Rushing of Shawneetown; five grandchildren, Sierra, Riley and Brennan Harrington and Olivia and Emma Rushing; his twin sister, Elizabeth Harrington of Galatia; and 11 other biological brothers and sisters and cousin, Tommy Brown and his wife, Annette of Dallas, Texas.

Service is being provided to the family by Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, 900 N. Court St., Marion.

In accordance with his wishes, Charles chose to be cremated and the memorial service will be announced at a later date.
