Obituary: Donna Mae Rann

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Donna Mae Rann, 61, of Harrisburg, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, at Harrisburg Medical Center as a result of injuries from the Harrisburg tornado.

Donna was born in Harrisburg on Sept. 21, 1950, a daughter of the late Agnes (Thomas) and Seigle Patterson.

She was a member of the Lebanon Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Galatia.

She worked as a secretary for the U.S. Forestry Service in Harrisburg.

She was the wife of Randall Earl "Randy" Rann, who also passed away as a result of the storm. On May 9, 1970, they were married at Carrier Mills.

Donna is survived by two sons, Ryan (Samonica) Rann of Harrisburg and Jeff (Emily) Rann of Harrisburg; a sister, Emojean Kirkland of Galatia; two brothers, Neal (Loretta) Patterson of Harrisburg and John C. (Janice) Patterson of Texas; and five grandchildren Grayson Rann, Shelby Rann, Skyla Rann, Gavin Rann and Makenna Rann.

Funeral service will be at Lebanon Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Galatia at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 4, 2012, with the Rev. Jerry Williams officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery.

Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado and 11 a.m. to service time at the church Sunday.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Illinois Masonic Children&#39;s Home in Murphysboro, The Shriners Hospital for Children in St. Louis or the Scottish Rite Valley of Southern Illinois Dyslexia Learning Center, envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.
