Obituary: Ella Mae Hardin

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Ella Mae Hardin, 87, of Eddyville, passed away Feb. 23, 2012, at Hardin County Hospital in Rosiclare.

She was born Nov. 1, 1924, in Livingston County, Ky., the second of five children to the late Sam and Ada (Dunning) Day. On Dec. 14, 1941, she married William Lewis Hardin I in Cape Girardeau, Mo. He was the son of Finnis and Hattie Hardin and preceded her in death on July 11, 1979. Ella Mae was a farm wife and devoted mother to five sons. She was a member of the Eddyville Baptist Church and a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star Eddyville Chapter No. 1007.

Ella Mae is survived by two sons, Jerry and wife Marcia Hardin of Maple Park and Leslie and wife Frances Hardin of Herod; daughter-in-law, Rita Hardin of Carrier Mills; nine grandchildren, William Lewis Hardin III, Theresa Hardin, Paul Hardin, Corey Hardin, James Hardin, Samantha and husband Tom Love, Brad Deaton, Robert Hardin and Jason Deaton; nine great-grandchildren, Tiffany Deaton, Kaylee Hardin, Mike Hardin, Harlena Hardin, Tyler Deaton, Alexandra Love, Madison Love, Nolen Deaton and Lane Deaton; sister, Doris Kiebler; sister-in-law, Ann Day; brother-in-law, Jim Schade; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sons, William Lewis "Bill" Hardin II, Joe Hardin, Ronnie Hardin; brothers, Waldo Day, Jack Day; sister, Peggy Schade; daughter-in-law, Glenda Hardin; brother-in-law, William Kiebler.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at Aly Funeral Home in Eddyville. Pastor Buddy Sork will conduct the service. Interment will follow at the Salem Cemetery in Salem, Ky. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Feb. 24 with an Order of the Eastern Star service at 7 p.m.
