Obituary: Anna Lee Rea

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Anna Lee Rea, 96, Glendale, Ariz., passed away Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at the Hospice of the Valley.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Max Arthur Rea; her mother and father, A.A. and Annie Thompson Moore; her brothers and sisters, John Albert Moore, Roald Amundson Moore, Bernard Willis Moore, Lowell Wilson Moore, Evelyn Rose Moore, Charles Edgar Moore and William Thompson Moore.

She is survived by her sister, Nell Perry; her sons, Terry Rea and Tim Rea and their families; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Anna Lee was born in Carrier Mills and graduated from Harrisburg High School. She received a bachelor&#39;s degree from Southern Illinois University and a master&#39;s degree from Roosevelt University. She taught for many years in the Gary, Ind. public school system and at Indiana University.

Anna Lee most enjoyed her grandchildren, meeting and knowing new people and traveling. She never met a trip she didn&#39;t like, and visited numerous places in Europe, Africa, Japan, Cambodia, Thailand, China and the United States.

Before "retiring" to Glendale, she had resided in several states and in Europe.

In Glendale, Anna Lee was active in Glendale Woman&#39;s Club, Glendale Civic Pride Ambassadors, Glendale Library Board, Phoenix Symphony, Glendale Methodist Church and Mary Martha Circle and Red Hatters.

She will be missed by friends and family.

Services are not planned in Glendale, but will be held in Illinois at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to The Hospice of the Valley (www.hov.org) in honor of Anna Lee Rea or to the charity of the donor&#39;s choice.
