Obituary: Ruth Ann Matheney

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Ruth Ann Matheney, 63, of Harrisburg, passed away at 6:42 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at the Harrisburg Medical Center.

Ruth was born on Aug. 22, 1948, in Mitchell, Ind., to the late James Turner and Lorena (Hardin) Turner. She married Seba Carmickle on Sept. 13, 1969, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 20, 2003. She then married Herschel D. Matheney on June 11, 2010, and he survives in Harrisburg.

Ruth was a homemaker and a member of Honeycomb Church of God.

Ruth is survived by her husband, Herschel of Harrisburg; daughter, Tabitha (Steve) Leonberger of Harrisburg; three sisters, Sena Moore of Orleans, Ind., Connie Fox, Mitchell, Ind. and Mona Steer, Mitchell, Ind.; two grandchildren, Ryan Leonberger and Laura Leonberger.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Dewey and Jimmy Turner.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. Harold Miller will officiate; burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg.
