Obituary: Mildred Blanche Brown

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mildred Blanche Brown, 89, Harrisburg, passed away at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, at Saline Care Center.

She was born on Feb. 25, 1922, in Harrisburg to the late Otis and Blanche (Potter) Wright. On July 2, 1940, she married Leonard C. Brown, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 24, 1982.

Mildred was a member of the First Baptist Church of Harrisburg. She was also a member of the Saline County Historical Society and the Rebekah Lodge.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Steven Brown; and brother, Otis Wright Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. Chris Winkleman will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to service time Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg.
