Obituary: Edward L. 'Ed' Watson
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Edward L. "Ed" Watson, 77, of 722 Bramlet St. in Eldorado , died Saturday Jan. 7, 2012, at Ferrell Hospital.
Ed was born in Eldorado on Sept. 12, 1934, to the late Phillip E. and Mary (Reeder) Watson. Ed ran Reeder Shoe Shop for most of his life and he drove a school bus for Eldorado Unit No. 4 school system for over 25 years. On Dec. 22,1956, he married the former Carolyn Wasson and she preceded him in death on Nov. 25, 2010. He was an Army veteran, a lay minister and a life member of the Eldorado First Baptist Church, and with Carolyn, a leader of the youth group at the church. He started Khoury baseball league in Eldorado and coached a team.
Survivors include his son, Mike Watson of Eldorado; a daughter, Jenny (Mike) Anderson of Gallatin, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Robbie and Thomas Anderson of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; and a great-grandchild, Lilly Anderson of Mt. Juliet, Tenn. Also surviving is a sister-in-law, Pat Watson of San Diego, Calif.
Also surviving are many beloved nieces and nephews and their families, including Mark and Susan Sigler of Eldorado.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert "Bob" and Phillip Watson.
Services for Ed will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, at the Watson Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Plunkett officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery at a later date.
