Obituary: Otis Wayne 'Otie' Lampert

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Otis Wayne "Otie" Lampert of Wichita Falls, Texas, formerly of Shawneetown, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011.

Otie was born in Shawneetown on Aug. 28, 1942, to the late Floyd and Hazel Louise (Awalt) Lampert.

He attended Shawneetown schools, and after graduating in 1960, enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and retired as MSGT in 1986. He then retired in 2007 after working in civil service for the Air Force. He was also a retired member of the volunteer fire department of Cameron Gardens, Wichita Falls.

Otis married Betty J. (Ozee) Lampert of Shawneetown on May 15, 1984, in Harrisburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter; one brother; and one sister.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; a daughter, Melinda Michelle Willis of Wichita Falls, Texas; two stepdaughters, Cheryl (Barry) Moulton of Clinton, Iowa and Brenda (Brent) Gotkin of Eldorado; two sisters, Thetna L. Nesbitt of Wyoming, Mich. and Sharon Kingston of Harrisburg; one brother, Edgar Lynn "Ed" Lampert of Omaha; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
