Obituary: Kent Allen Casey

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Kent Allen Casey, 49, Harrisburg, passed away at 9:45 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011, at his residence.

Kent was born on Dec. 24, 1961, in Mt. Carmel to Jim and Sue (Abbott) Casey. He was a painter.

Surviving family members include his parents, Jim and Sue Casey of Harrisburg; two brothers, Kevin Casey of Evansville, Ind., and Scott Casey of Evansville, Ind.; a niece, Candice Casey of Harrisburg; a nephew, Craig Richards of Belle Rive; a great-niece, Skye Casey of Harrisburg; Rex Godbler of Orlando, Fla., and Eric Lever of Butte, Mont.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Howard Stearns will officiate. Burial will follow in New Salem Cemetery in Creal Springs. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. For those who cannot attend funeral services, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
