Obituary: Opal M. Garner
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Opal M. Garner, 92, of Eldorado, passed away at 2:20 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011, at Harrisburg Medical Center.
Opal was born in Galatia on Jan. 23, 1919, a daughter of the late Mary (Mace) and James McKinney.
She was a member of Eldorado First Church of God. Opal loved to help people and loved her Lord Jesus Christ.
She worked as a factory worker at Furnace Electric and retired in 1982, then returning to Eldorado.
Opal is survived by a son,Ted and wife Darla Garner, of Kankakee; grandchildren, Dr. Todd (Colleen) Garner, Teri (Kent) Chamberlin and Traci (Wade) LeBeau; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Lindsey, Cami, Mitchell, Joey, Andrea, Courtney and Connor; two nieces, Barbara and Shirley Kendall of Eldorado; and two nephews, Don Kendall of Eldorado and Max Kendall of Harrisburg.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by five siblings, Kelly McKinney, J.R. McKinney, Lilly Thomas, Ella Mae Kendall and Agnes Kendall.
Per her request, graveside services will be at Webber Campground near Galatia at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, with the Rev. Dorothy Millspaugh officiating.
