Bartlett family gets probation after drug bust

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[A deal with DuPage County prosecutors means probation for a Bartlett family of four.

The Chicago Sun-Times (http://tinyurl.com/7c4225w ) reports that the parents and their son and daughter all pleaded guilty to felony drug possession. The charges against them resulted after police raided their home and found marijuana, cocaine, prescription painkillers and psychedelic mushrooms.

The family members will each serve two years of probation and 30 hours of community service.

Defense attorney Brian Telander says they can try to have their felony convictions expunged when they complete their sentences. He says they made a "terrible mistake" but shouldn't have to suffer for the rest of their lives.
