Eldorado kids thinking of others as Thanksgiving approaches

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Eldorado pre-kindergarten pupils and their parents will be having a special Thanksgiving dinner Thursday night. Every person who attends the event is asked to bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Choisser Food Kitchen in Eldorado.

Lisa Craig, who organized the event, said the Eldorado pre-kindergarten teachers have been trying to teach their students about the importance of giving back to the community, and thinks this dinner will help solidify the lesson.

There are 140 children in the pre-kindergarten class, and all of their parents are invited as well, so the dinner has the potential to produce a large amount of donations for Choisser Food Kitchen. Craig said they have had 150 positive RSVPs so far.

Craig said the school hosts a "family fun night" for the pre-kindergarten kids once a month, and the Thanksgiving dinner will function as November's fun night.

This is the first time the school has hosted an event like this one, so Craig is hoping for a good turnout.
