</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[James E. Allen, 70, Eldorado, died 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, at Ferrell Hospital, Eldorado.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Rev. Bill Gholson officiating. Visitation is noon to service time Saturday at the funeral home.

He was the widower of Linda Slaten. He is survived by a daughter; two grandchildren; a brother; and two sisters.
