Obituary: Bill J. Bramlet
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Bill J. Bramlet, 85, of St. Petersburg, Fla., passed away on Sept. 4, 2011. After having been a lifelong resident of Southern Illinois, he and his wife, Mary, relocated to St. Petersburg, Fla. permanently three years ago.
Bill attended Eldorado Township High School where he served as co-captain of the football team. Following the sudden death of his father, he continued the trucking business his father had established. Bill later worked for Country Mutual Insurance Company for 37 ½ years as a claims adjuster, and became claims supervisor over the Southern Illinois counties from Williamson County southward.
Bill married his high school sweetheart, the former Mary Lou Turner, who survives. They would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Sept. 8. He is survived by two sons, Dr. Dean Bramlet and wife Jane, and Dr. Dale Bramlet and wife Kathy; and four grandchildren, Carrie, Kelly and Kristen Bramlet and grandson Turner Bramlet. Also surviving are dearest nieces, Claudia Jo Rice and son Tom, and Krystal Tison and husband Joe and their children, Kacy Tison, Kara Vinson and husband Spencer, Katina Eubanks and her children, Krystina Eubanks, and Dr. Blaine Eubanks and his wife Jenna.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Chloe Bramlet; and one sister, Lora Street.
A fun-loving spirit with deep faith in the Lord , he enjoyed his family, his many friends, and his work. He was a member of the St. Petersburg First United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held at the Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011. Visitation will be held from noon until service time. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery.
