Obituary: Carla J. Burton

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Carla J. Burton, 65, Herod, died Sunday, July 31, 2011, at Heartland Regional Medical Center, Marion.

She leaves to mourn in her passing, her loving husband of 45 years, Carlos Burton of Herod; her mother, Mary Neighbors Malone of Rosiclare, formerly of Harrisburg; one son, Michael (Tena) Burton of Herod; one daughter, Kelly (Doyle) Winters of Cave-In-Rock; grandchildren, David (Candi) Burton of Rosiclare, Brian Burton of Herod, Dustin and Gage Winters of Cave-In-Rock; and her great-grandson, Damian Burton of Rosiclare.

She also leaves to mourn one niece, Tammy Stout; one nephew, Matt Stout of Harrisburg; and her stepmother, Alice Neighbors of Rockford.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harry Neighbors of Rockford; and one sister, Phyllis Stout of Harrisburg.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, at Cox Funeral Home, Rosiclare. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011, at Cox Funeral Home. Interment will be at Cedar Bluff Cemetery in rural Pope County.
