Obituary: Irene M. (Graves) Casper

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Irene M. (Graves) Casper, 94, of Galatia in the North America community, passed away Sunday July 24, 2011, at the Carrier Mills Nursing Home.

She was born on April 7, 1917, in Marion to the late William and Anna Graves. Irene married Ernest Casper on May 29, 1939, and they were together 43 years until his passing in July of 1982.

She also was a member of the North America Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Surviving are two children, Leroy Casper and Sheila (Walker) Slone; five grandchildren, Tanya Casper, Monica Casper, Tim Slone, Kelly Vanmeter and Teri Casper; nine great-grandchildren, Ashleigh Slone, Kellcey Vanmeter, Lynzee Baggott, Tierra Jones, Tyler Slone, Shayna Slone, Easton McCvan, Kaylyn Slone and Baylee Blackburn; and two great-great-grandchildren, Logan Byron and Adrina Rowold.

She was preceded by her parents; husband; a son, Ernest Jr.; a daughter, Theresa Lynn; and two grandsons, Walker Jr. and Chad Slone.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday July 27, 2011, at the Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia with visitation from 11 a.m. Wednesday to the funeral hour. The Rev. John Winters will officiate with burial in the North America Cemetery
