Obituary: Shirley June Parish
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Shirley June Parish, 76 of Clarksville, Tenn., died Wednesday, June 28, 2011, at Spring Meadows Health Care Center.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2011, at McReynolds-Nave and Larson Chapel, with Rev. Verlon Moore officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home.
She was born Oct. 15, 1934, in Harrisburg and was preceded in death by her parents, Lyman Hansel Stuby and Altha Aona Hancock Baker; and her husband, Donald E. Parish. Miss Shirley was a cosmetology instructor and manager at Queen City College and attended Hilldale Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons, Gary Alan (Shirly) Parish of Fairfield, Calif., and Donald Lee (Kathy) Parish of Clarksville, Tenn.; two daughters, Sherry Lynn (Harry) Young and Nyra Jo (Stephen) Akins of Clarksville, Tenn.; sisters, Nell Rose Robertson of Florida and Kay Elaine (Frank) of Vautrin, Mich.; half-brother, James H. Stuby, Tennessee; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
