Obituary: Justin M. 'Rudy' Brooks

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Justin M. "Rudy" Brooks, 26, of Junction, died suddenly at his home on Wednesday, June 29, 2011, as a result of an accident.

Rudy, as everyone knew him, was born in Harrisburg on Sept. 4, 1984, to David Brooks and Cathy (Pindell) Back. Rudy went to school at Gallatin County and had worked for Agarian Enterprises on the farm for about six years. Rudy was such a colorful person and full of life. He had so many passions in life, from hunting, fishing, four-wheel riding, music, his dog Woody, but his main thing was working on the farm and driving the tractors. He loved to spend time with his family, especially having cookouts. Even though taken early in life, his impact on others that he touched will never be forgot.

Rudy is survived by his father, David (Lori) Brooks of Shawneetown; his mother, Cathy (James) Back of Shawneetown; brother, Dwight (Caroline) Brooks of Shawneetown; his sister, Holly Brooks of Johnston City; his grandmother, Ailene Brooks of Shawneetown; and many cousins and wonderful friends.

Visitation for Rudy will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2011 at the Cox and Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2011, at the funeral home. The Rev. Bob Powell will officiate and interment will be in the Hogan Cemetery south of Shawneetown.
