Obituary: Barbara Jackson

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Barbara Jackson, 52, Harrisburg, passed away 12:30 p.m. Monday, June 27, 2011, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.

She was born Nov. 13, 1958, in Pekin, the daughter of John and Mary Cavins Ewell. Barbara was a sales associate for Wal-Mart.

Survivors include her father, John Ewell of Harrisburg; daughter, Heather Ewell and son, Daniel Ewell, both of Harrisburg; two brothers, John Jr. and Virginia Ewell of Harrisburg and James and Sheila Ewell of Pekin. She was a second mother to Cythynie Jackson, James Jackson and Joseph Jackson of Eddyville.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ewell, and her sister, Kathy Williams.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2011, at the J.M. Weirauch Funeral Home in Harrisburg with the Rev. James Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Valley Cemetery. Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at the funeral home.
