Obituary: Walter Clyde Young

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Walter Clyde Young 88 of Eldorado went to be with his Lord 2:54 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2011 at his home in Eldorado.

Walter was born in Eldorado on Dec. 14, 1922, son of the late Arthur and Martha (Kimble) Young. He was a retired member of the Paducah IBEW Local No. 816.

Walter is survived by a son, David Young of Mount Vernon; two daughters, Sharon (Marshel) Galleher of Eldorado and Lynne Beggs of Murphysboro; two brothers, James (Erika) Young and William (Rosie) Young of Texas; three sisters, Lillie Spinelle of Carbondale, Margaret Young of Harrisburg and Martha Naas of St Louis, Mo.; grandchildren, Lisa (Joly) Hinant of Harrisburg, Tammy (Bern) Carter of Galatia, Jimmie (Melanie) Galleher of Newburgh, Ind., Heather (Aaron) Palmateer of Homestead, Fla., Nathan (Rainell) Young of Evansville, Ind., Samantha Young of Harrisburg and Tiffany (Jeremy) Kennon of Jackson, Mo.; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

A son, Jimmie Lyndon, preceded him.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2011 at Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 25, 2011 at the funeral home. The Rev. Mike Weaver will officiate with burial in the Wolf Creek Cemetery in Eldorado.
