Obituary: Ellen Jane Turner
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Ellen Jane Turner, 64, of Equality, died at her home on Thursday, June 23, 2011.
Jane, as most knew her, was born in Eldorado on Jan. 28, 1947, to the late Doyle and Jane (Gibson) Perkins. Jane had worked most of her life in the restaurant business as a cook. She was always smiling, loved being with her family, and had a passion for cooking. She was a good mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed.
Jane is survived by three daughters, Karen (Albert) Certain of Equality, Kimberly (Chris) Owens of Harrisburg and Kathy (Stan) Crisp of Evansville, Ind.; a stepson, Bill (Tonya) Turner of Tennessee; a stepdaughter, Tina (Bo) Ray of Tennessee; a sister, Jeannie (Alan) Bourland of Alabama; along with 18 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Carla Clark; and a brother, Jim Perkins.
Service for Jane will be starting at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2011, at the Cox and Son Funeral Home in Ridgway. The Rev. Rob Gallion will officiate and per Jane's wishes, cremation will follow. The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 11 a.m. on Saturday.
