Carol Self

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Carol Self, 75, Elgin, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2011, at Tower Hill Health Care Center, South Elgin. She was born on Sept. 25, 1935, in Wasson, the daughter of Frank and Mable (Brewner) Forrester.

Survivors include her sisters, Norma Wollard, Jean Bacak and Helen (Bruce) Poole; three brothers, Frank (Frances) Forester, James (Sue) Forester and Paul Forester; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene Self; and two brothers, Donnie Forester and Charles Lindy Forester.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 3, 2011, at Bluff City Cemetery, Elgin. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2011, in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin.
