Wilhelmine C. (Mueth) Luecking

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Wilhelmina C. Luecking (nee Mueth) 87, of St. Libory, born May 29, 1923, in New Athens, died Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at Aviston Country Side Manor, Aviston.

Wilhelmina was a retired housekeeper from St. Elizabeth&#39;s Hospital in Belleville; member of St. Liborius Catholic Church in St. Libory where she was a sacristan for many years; St. Liborius Council of Catholic Women; and Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed gardening and stitching.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Luecking, who she married on Aug. 26, 1943, in St. Libory, and who died in 1978; her parents, Joseph and Louise (nee Henkle) Luecking; a son, Charles Luecking; a granddaughter, Sara Mode; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Luecking; and a sister, Mary Sandheinrich.

She is survived by nine children, Jeanette (James) Bond of Galatia, Michael (Judy) Luecking of Springfield, Susan Rogers of Belleville, Mary (William) Hagene of Smithton, JoAnn (Edward) Wittenauer of Freeburg, Dolores (Daniel) Schuette of Venedy, Dennis (Terry) Luecking of Belleville, Patricia (Pete) Mode of Belleville and Joseph (Beverly) Luecking of Venedy; 21 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, Francis (Marian) Mueth of Belleville; a sister, Rita Luecking of St. Libory; two sisters-in-law, Josephine Averbeck and Dorothy Luecking; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of all other gifts, memorials may be made to Bob Costas Oncology Center, Cardinal Glennon Children&#39;s Medical Center, 1465 South Grand Blvd., St. Louis, Mo. 63104; or to Pregnancy Care Center, St. Elizabeth&#39;s Hospital, 211 S. Wilhelmina gifted her body to the St. Louis University School of Medicine.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2011, at the Moll Funeral Home in St. Libory. A prayer service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Funeral: A funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, May 28, 2011, at St. Liborius Catholic Church in St. Libory with Fr. Stan Konieczny officiating.
