Bobby J. Edwards
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Bobby J. Edwards Sr. passed away at home, Thursday, April 28, 2011, at the age of 74.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years June (nee Long) Edwards; three sons, Bobby (Janice) Edwards Jr., Dale (Janet) Edwards and Billy Edwards; two daughters Julie (Fred) Picardy and Janice Edwards; 19 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; two brothers, Mitchell and Louis Lee Edwards; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph L. Edwards in 2010; his parents, Joseph "Alfred" and Lillian Owens (nee Bayne) Edwards; a sister, Janice Edwards; granddaughter, Diana Michelle Root; and a grandson, Benjamin Edwards.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, a member of the Will County Baptist Temple and retired from Caterpillar.
Funeral services will be held at Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road, 11 a.m. Monday, May 2, 2011, with the Rev. Dale Steenhoven officiating. Interment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Bible's Project of Will County Baptist Temple will be appreciated. Visitation is 9 a.m. Monday until time of services.
