A woman living in a low-lying area on South Fork Road became stranded when the fields flooded, Saline County EMA Director Allan Ninness said. She called the Sheriff's Department for ideas. Ninness convinced her to evacuate, he said. Ninness and Dan Johnston launched a boat and went across the flood waters to bring the woman to safety."As people get cut off, people should take into account what their disaster plan is, where they are going to go, if they have to move out for a while," Ninness said. The woman was also taken out of her home by boat in 2008 during extensive flooding. "We have a few residences that are problems areas that are built in low areas. When it gets up to this level, we're just going to have problems," Ninness said.

National Weather Service video recorded Sunday courtesy WPSD TV, Paducah.
