Robert Howard Vinyard
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Robert Howard Vinyard, 83, 1901 Douglas St., Eldorado, died 4:13 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at his residence.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2011, at Vinyard's Chapel in Karbers Ridge with Bro. Harold Miller officiating. Burial will be in Vinyard Cemetery with military rites. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are in the charge of Watson Funeral Home, Eldorado.
He was born in Karbers Ridge on Nov. 6, 1927, to Ellis and Mary (Thacker) Vinyard. On May 21, 1947, he married the former Mary Lowry, who survives in Eldorado.
He was self-employed as a mechanic. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by three sons, Robert (Sandy) Vinyard of Rosiclare, Leon (Sandra) Vinyard of Eldorado and Steve Vinyard of Marion; a daughter, Melody Vinyard of Eldorado; nine grandchildren, Robert H. Vinyard, Chad Vinyard, Todd Vinyard, Corey Vinyard, Liberty Fasolo, David Vinyard, Mark Vinyard, Erica Zaspal and Kelsey Vinyard; 14 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Hugh, Aaron, Wiley and Caroll Vinyard; and three sisters, Lillian Chambers, Lola Osmond and Margaret Banks.
