</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Rick Ward, 52, 3635 U.S. Route 45 South, Harrisburg, died Thursday, April 14, 2011, at his residence.

A graveside memorial service for the cremated remains will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at Sunset Lawn Cemetery, Harrisburg. There will be no visitation; all friends should go directly to the cemetery. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills is in charge of arrangements.

He was born on March 29, 1959, in Harrisburg to the late Elmer and Lucille (Shumaker) Ward.

He worked as a mechanic for many years at Jim Hayes Inc. and at Walmart.

He is survived by a sister, Linda L. Hayes of Shawneetown; a brother, Darrell (Brenda) Ward of Harrisburg; two uncles, James (Connie) Shumaker of Peoria and Tom Shumaker of Battle Creek, Mich.; two aunts, Lena Kennedy of Marshall and Merrlynn Shumaker of Paris; and several nieces and nephews.
