Mary Alice Leverett

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mary Alice Leverett, 96, Harrisburg, died 1:09 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2011, at her residence.

She was born Feb. 27, 1915, in Carterville to Hez and Minnie (Smith) Arnold. She was married to David Waldo Leverett on July 5, 1932, and he preceded her in death on March 24, 1989.

She was a retired supply clerk at St. Joseph Hospital in Detroit, Mich., Ferrell Hospital and Harrisburg Medical Center.

She was a member of Main Street Church of God, Carrier Mills.

She is survived by a daughter, Jean (Willie) Reynolds of Stonefort; two sons, Fred (Ruby) Leverett of Oakridge, Tenn. and Jerry (Pearl) Leverett of Stonefort; 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 22 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Richard Leverett; two brothers, Ernie and Fred Arnold; and a sister, Marie Arnold.

Visitation is 9 a.m. to service time at 11 a.m. Monday, April 18, 2011, at Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home, Carrier Mills, with the Rev. Jeff Owens officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Carrier Mills.
