Anna Laura Jones

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Anna Laura Jones, 90 of Harrisburg, passed away at 5:30 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2011, at Saline Care Center.

Ann was born on June 27, 1920, in Carrier Mills to William Bryan and Elizabeth (Taylor) Burgess. She married Aubra Jones in 1938 and he preceded her in death in 1986. Ann was a member of North Williford Baptist Church.

Ann is survived by one daughter, Rhonda Chapman of North Augusta, S.C.; five grandchildren, Kim Bean of South Carolina, Kyle Bean of Decatur, Kyra Brunswick of Georgia, Kristen Sapp and husband Ralph of North Augusta, S.C. and Lisa Gunzel of Harrisburg; six great-grandchildren, Lauren Gunzel, Ryan Gunzel, Jonathan Gunzel, Alex Bean, Hunter Sapp and Beau Brunswick; and a daughter-in-law, Myrna Jones of Harrisburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Aubra; one son, Bryan "Salty" Jones; a granddaughter, Stacy Jones; and a sister, Wilma Dempsey.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2011, at Salem Cemetery. Those wishing to attend should gather at the cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois and envelopes will be available at the cemetery.
