Z. Nadine Jones

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Z. Nadine Jones, 90, of Donaldsonville, La., formerly of Harrisburg, passed away at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2011, at the Carpenter House in Baton Rouge, La.

Nadine was born on Aug. 1, 1920, at Harrisburg to Bertis and Sophia Mae (Wasson) Barger. She married Paul E. Jones in 1946 at Lapeer, Mich. He passed away in 1978. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Charles Barger; and her sisters, Wanda Mayo and Mary Huffman.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas (Linda) Wurl of Houston, Texas, Terry (Libby) Jones of West Point, Ga. and Daniel (Sandra) Jones of Donaldsonville, La.; five grandsons and two granddaughters-in-law, Michael Wurl of Houston, Texas, Steven Wurl of Lubbock, Texas, Tom (Barbara) Jones of Columbus, Ga., Charles (Winter) Jones of Pleasant Hill, La. and Matthew Jones of Donaldsonville, La.; three granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Elizabeth Wurl (Adam) Moser of Tampa, Fla., Cindy Jones (Richard) Kemp of Pine Mountain, Ga. and Katherine Jones (Richard) Manion of Urbandale, Iowa; and seven great-grandchildren, Kayla and Anna Moser, Rebecca Jones, Kristin, Tyler, and Preston Kemp and Charles Jones Jr.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 9, 2011, at the Bethesda Cemetery in Herod with the Rev. Jack Shelby officiating. Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. to service time Saturday at the Bethesda Cemetery.

The preferred form of remembrance is a memorial donation either to the Bethesda Cemetery Association c/o Erna Wasson, 1105 State Rt. 142 North, Eldorado, Ill. 62930, or to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 2001 S. Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis Mo. 63131-3597.

Meredith Funeral Home of Carbondale is in charge of the arrangements and will have envelopes at the cemetery for anyone who wishes to make a memorial.
