Anna Frances 'B' Drone

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Anna Frances "B" Drone, 90, of Carbondale, formerly of Shawneetown, passed away at 10:30 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2011, at the Rehab and Care Center of Jackson County in Murphysboro.

She was born on June 9, 1920, in Junction, the daughter of John O. and Zitta Barbara (Zirkelbach) Bastnagel. Anna Frances married William Drone on Sept. 13, 1938, and he preceded her in death on June 25, 2005.

She worked at the Herrmann&#39;s Drug Store and also at the Shawnee Cabinet Factory. Anna Frances was a member of the St. Mary&#39;s Catholic Church in Shawneetown.

She is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth J. and William L. Springer of Carbondale; three grandchildren, Venetia "Tia" and Kenneth Mink of Shiloh, Monica "Nikki" and Brian Coover of Surprise, Ariz. and E. Ericka and Jeff Grubbs of Carbondale; one brother, Robert E. and Sharon Bastnagel of Newburgh, Ind.; eight great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Anna Frances was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four sisters, Catherine Adell Scherrer, Virginia Wright, Mary Valentine Bastnagel and Patricia Lester; and two brothers, John Bastnagel and George A. "Barney" Riley.

Visitation for Anna Frances will be held from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Friday, April 1, 2011, at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary&#39;s Catholic Church at Shawneetown at 11 a.m. with Father Steven Beatty conducting. Burial will be at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery near Shawneetown.
