Anetha LaVanne McDonald

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Anetha LaVanne McDonald, 55, of Harrisburg, passed away 2:25 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at St. Mary&#39;s Hospital, Evansville, Ind.

She was born Feb. 8, 1956, in Osceola, Ark., the daughter of John A. and Melba C. Cravens Sr. She was married to Andrew McDonald, and he survives.

She was a social worker with the state of Illinois Department of Human Services. She attended Baber Chapel A.M.E. Church in Carrier Mills and was a member of the Women of Faith organization.

Surviving Anetha are her husband, Andrew; mother, Melba Taylor of Caruthersville, Mo.; one son, Jeff, and one daughter, Analise, both of Harrisburg; and one brother, John Taylor Jr., also of Harrisburg.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2011, at the Harbor Light Church, 60 Reynolds Road, Harrisburg, with Pastor Quentin Redd officiating. The J.M. Weirauch Funeral Home in Harrisburg is in charge of the arrangements.
