Joe Martin Ehrhardt

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Joe Martin Ehrhardt, 92, Mexico, Mo., died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011, in the Harry S. Truman Veterans Hospital in Columbia, Mo.

Mr. Ehrhardt was born May 21, 1918, in Charlton County, Mo., son of the late Edgar and Edna Crutchfield Ehrhardt. He married the former Nellie May "Sally" Turner on July 3, 1939. She preceded him in death on March 14, 2006.

Joe was a World War II Army veteran who received a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. He retired after 32 years of service from Carroll Motor Co. He was a member of the Mexico United Methodist Church, I.O.O.F. Lodge No. 99, volunteer at Meals on Wheels Senior Center, an avid golfer and was in the Bowlers Hall of Fame.

He is survived by a son, Terry Joe Ehrhardt of Harrisburg; two daughters, Karen (Harry) Galloway of Folsom, Calif. and Donna (Ted) Baer of Randolph, Kan.; one grandson; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2011, in the Pickering Funeral Home in Mexico, Mo., with his pastor, the Rev. Karen Taylor, officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28, 2011, at Pickering Funeral Home.
