Eva Headrick

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Eva Headrick, 90, Carrier Mills, died 11:16 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, at Harrisburg Medical Center.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills with the Rev. Jeff Owens officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 14, 2011, at the funeral home.

She was born on March 4, 1920, in Eddyville to the late George and Ruth (Cross) Butler. She married Loren Headrick on Feb. 5, 1974, who survives.

She was a homemaker and worked on the family farm. She volunteered for many years at the food pantry and clothes closet at the Carrier Mills Ministerial Alliance.

She was a longtime member of the Reids Chapel Church near Stonefort.

She is survived by her husband, Loren Headrick of Carrier Mills; daughter, Sharon Hurley of Harrisburg; son, James (Linda) Murphy of Stonefort; brother, Gene Butler of Carrier Mills; sister, Ludene Sherfield of Harrisburg; three stepchildren, Billy Headrick of Jeffersonville, Ind., Evelyn "Tootie" Daugherty of Scottsburg, Ind.. and Alfred Headrick of Kapolei, Hawaii; six grandchildren, Clyde Hurley, Angie Pavelonis, Pam (Randy) Patton, Jenny (Cam) Thai, all of Harrisburg, Ron (Rita) Hurley of Eldorado and Michael (Jennifer) Murphy of Stonefort; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Edith Murphy; two brothers, Glen Butler and Bob Butler; stepfather, Elmer Leverett; and a stepdaughter, Doris McDowell.
