Ethel June Jones
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Ethel June Jones, 89, of Harrisburg, passed away at 5:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 11, 2011, at Harrisburg Medical Center.
June was born on July 4, 1921, in Stoddard, Mo., to the late David Lee and Eva Lee (Duncan) Duke. Ethel married Clifton Jones on Aug. 31, 1940, and he survives in Harrisburg.
Ethel was a homemaker and a member of the Spring Valley Social Brethren Church, where she was the oldest living member. She loved her church and church family.
In addition to her husband Clifton, she is survived by three children, Brenda Williams Pingleton and husband John of Harrisburg, Lindell Jones and wife Donna of Morris and Glendell Jones of Harrisburg; 12 grandchildren, Sherri Ramsey and husband Tim of Harrisburg, Jimi Lea Williams of Harrisburg, Pam Barnard and husband Jerry of Harrisburg, J. D. Williams and wife Renee of Harrisburg, Jonathan Williams and wife Kim of Harrisburg, Denica Headrick and husband Doug of Yucaipa, Calif., Kendra Cold and husband Jon of Arcola, Gianna Eber and husband Matt of Morris, Dee Lynn Imire and husband Brian of Florida, Penny McKeller and husband Wayne of Coal City, Scott Jones of Essex and Darrin Jones of Essex; 23 great-grandchildren, Garrick Simpson, Jade Williford, Ashley Williams, Nathan Williams, Miah Barnard, Riley Barnard, Craig Williams, Kiryn Headrick, Marissa Headrick, Delany Eber McKenzie Eber, Liam Eber, Hayden Cole, Megan McKeller, Amanda McKeller, Kayla McKelller, Laura Imire, Aylassa Jones, Kara Jones, Dylan Jones, Molly Jones, Samuel Jones and Joshua Jones; four great-great grandchildren, Abigail Simpson, Caleb Williford, Cole Williford and Kyndal Williams; and two sisters, Elfie Dudley of Harrisburg and Pauline Pence of Pontiac, Mich.
June was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Natalie Simpson Grubbs; three brothers, David Duke, Bill Duke and Gene Duke; one sister, Naomi Dudley; one daughter-in-law, Sara Beth Jones; and one son-in-law, Jimmie Dale Williams.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 14, 2011 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. Barry Bascom will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg.
