Lorene Shewmaker

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Lorene Shewmaker, 87, of Harrisburg, passed away 6:04 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at her residence.

She was born June 24, 1923, in the Eagle Creek community near Herod to Clayborn and Rose Tarlton Patton. She married Carl Shewmaker and he preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 1990.

Lorene retired from Harrisburg Unit No. 3 School District where she was the speech pathologist. She was a member of McKinley Ave. Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Susan Horning of Harrisburg; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins including Jean Raymer of Aurora.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl; and one sister, Lois Raymer.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, at the J.M. Weirauch Funeral Home in Harrisburg with Rev. Roger Lipe officiating and burial in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call after 11 a.m. at the J.M. Weirauch Funeral Home.
