Barbara E. Davenport

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Barbara E. Davenport, 91, 920 Veterans Drive, Eldorado, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011, at Fountain View Nursing Home, Eldorado.

Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado with the Rev. L. Dewayne Jolly officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Parks, Vincennes, Ind. Visitation is 9 a.m. to service time Saturday at the funeral home.

She was born May 13, 1919 in Bruceville, Ind., to Louis and Hattie (Lynch) Mincey.

She was a housewife and a Protestant, a member of Gospel Assembly Church. She taught Sunday School for many years, served as church librarian and compiled and narrated the many holiday programs in her many years of church activities. She had lived here since November 1979, moving from Terre Haute, Ind.

She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Sharon Fox of Eldorado; a brother, Jack L. and Nancy Mincey of Longview, Texas; one grandchild, John David Fox and Amy of Silvis; two great-grandchildren, Emily Fox and Jacob Fox; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sons, James Fox in 2006, and David Fox in 2005.
