</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Carl E. Foster, 80, died 1:20 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011, at his residence.

Services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 21, 2011, at Paynic Home for Funerals, Rosewood Heights, with the Rev. Frank Sparks officiating. Burial will be in Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana with military honors by VFW Alton Post No. 1308. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, at the funeral home.

From 1935 to 1945, the Foster family were residents of Eldorado. Carl E. had a paper delivery route for the Eldorado Daily Journal. Local relatives are Leonard and Mary Ann Baldwin of Eldorado and Linda Drone of Equality.
