Betty Franks Partain

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Betty Franks Partain, 88, formerly of Harrisburg, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011, in Indianapolis, Ind.

She was a homemaker. She was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was also a member of Christ Lutheran Church of Harrisburg and a member of Saline County Genealogical Society.

She was preceded in death by husbands, Dr. Arthur "Buck" Franks Jr. and Lyman Partain; son, Burnett Franks; and brother, Bill Burnett.

She is survived by two daughters, Judith Franks Durham and Lynn (Bill) Franks Gosnell; grandchildren, Buck, Bart and Dana Durham, Jennifer Durham Lane and Andrew Gosnell; several great-grandchildren, Madeline Durham, Madison and Eliza Lane, Lucas, Drew and Wesley Jayne Durham and Jackson Gosnell; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2011, at Christ Lutheran Church, Harrisburg. Burial will take place at Sunset Lawn Cemetery, Harrisburg.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christ Lutheran Church, Harrisburg or Seventh and Eighth United Christian Church, Indianapolis, Ind.
