Jeffrey Stewart Mondy
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Jeffrey Stewart Mondy, 54, of the Rocky Branch community of Harrisburg, passed away on Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, in Carbondale.
He was born on Aug. 19, 1956, in Eldorado to Ronnie C. and Barbara (Fink) Mondy.
Jeffrey worked as a paralegal and had a bachelor's degree in art history, a master's degree in rehabilitation, worked with children in the Sullivan Reading Program, and was also a passionate abstract artist and loved music, his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Barbara Mondy of Harrisburg; three sisters, Jennifer and Danny Feuquay, Jill and Dale Fowler, Jana and Doug Emery, all of Harrisburg; seven nieces and nephews, Rachael Willis, Rebecca Willis and Bill King, Emily and Jason Goemaat, Hannah Fowler, Ben Fowler, Bryce Emery, Reese Emery; six great-nieces and nephews, Heidi Willis, Aidan King, Terry Bethel, Caleb Bethel, Zachary Bethel and Margot Willis; and several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
He is preceded in death by his father; and sister, Julie Susan Mondy.
Visitation for Jeffrey was held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality. There was a graveside service at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011, at Cottage Grove Cemetery near Equality and the Rev. Allen Porter officiated.
