Delores Ann Rogers

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Delores Ann Rogers, 80, Christopher, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, at Herrin Hospital.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, at Gilbert Funeral Home in Christopher with the Rev. Kevin Bonifacius and the Rev. Gene Fox officiating. Burial will be in Mulkeytown Cemetery. Visitation is 9 a.m. to service time Friday at the funeral home.

She was born in Benton and June 30, 1930, to the late Carl "Sam" and Joyce (Mosley) Rowland. On Jan. 30, 1949, she married Clark Dean Rogers.

She was a homemaker, a member of First Christian Church of Christopher and past president of the Christopher Band Parents Association.

She is survived by two children, Rick (Cindy) Rogers of Eldorado and Jayne Bretzman of Benton; several grandchildren, Tiffanie (Jason) Hobbs, Jayna Bretzmen, Dustin Rogers and Caitlin Rogers; two great-grandchildren, Carson Hobbs and Tinley Hobbs; a sister, Betty (Paul) Porter of Marion; a brother, Dean (Dolores) Rowland of Springfield; and a sister-in-law, Margaret Jordan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; and two brothers, Kenneth and Ed Rowland.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church of Christopher and will be accepted at the funeral home.
