Mabel Porter

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mabel Porter, 89, of Shawneetown passed away at her home at 9:40 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011.

She was born on July 26, 1921, in Equality to Harve and Carrie (Milligan) Kingston. Mabel married Ralph Porter on Oct. 13, 1938, in Paducah, Ky.

Mabel loved to fish and hunt. She was a member of Eldorado Social Brethren Church and Shawneetown First Baptist Church and also a member of the Ridgway Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 714.

Mabel is survived by her husband of 72 years, Ralph Porter of Shawneetown.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Ralph James Porter.

There will be a graveside service for Mabel at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, at the Elmwood Cemetery near Equality with Pastor Jack Hall officiating.
