Mickey Lance Marshall
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mr. Mickey Lance Marshall, 51, resident of Harrisburg, formerly of Benton, passed away at 12:05 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, at Harrisburg Medical Center.
Mickey was born in Indianapolis, Ind., on Dec. 12, 1959, the son of Charles Paul and Billie June (Markum) Marshall, both of whom survive.
He served his country as a United States Air Force veteran. He served the citizens of Benton as fire chief for 11 years and firefighter for several years prior to being chief.
In addition to his parents, Mickey is survived by two sisters, Charla (Brett) Stricklin of Tamaroa and Linda Marshall of Eldorado; a brother, Allen (Tammy) Marshall of McLeansboro; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home, Eldorado, at 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, with the Rev. Russell Helton and Dave Moore officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery with military honors. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2 at the Colonial Terrace Funeral Home with a firefighters' service at 7 p.m.
