Mabel Delores 'Dee' Oneal
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mabel Delores "Dee" Oneal, 74, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away at 8:41 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010, at her home, after fighting a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
Born March 24, 1936, in Alton, she was a daughter of Raymond and Leta (King) Harris.
She married Ronald E. Oneal on Aug. 28, 1954, in Harrisburg, and they enjoyed 56 years of marriage.
She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Debra Oneal of Rosewood Heights, Rhonda Frields and her husband Bill of Bethalto and Michelle Stephenson and her husband Bob of Las Vegas, Nev.; a son, Brian Oneal of Alton and his fiancee Melanie Middleton; six grandchildren, Casei Frields-Benton and her husband Bryan, Nicholas Frields and his fiancee Sarah Ahlers, Christopher and Meaghan Kearbey, and Kayla, Brittany and Paige Stephenson; two great-grandsons, Landon and Logan Kearbey; several nieces and nephews; and her dog Missy and her beloved dolls.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Edna Miller, Betty Aldridge and Gloria Harris; and two brothers, Raymond and Edward Harris.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010, at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010. Greg Oneal will officiate.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
