Willard 'Bill' Lail

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Willard "Bill" Lail, 81, Galatia, has finished his long wait for Heaven. Mr. Lail passed away at 11:40 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010.

Mr. Lail was born in the home of the late Robert D. and Opal (Arnold) Lail of Carrier Mills.

Mr. Lail is survived by a son, Bill Lail; daughter-in-law, Victoria Lail; and two brothers, Don Lail and Charles Lail of Indiana.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Mary (Walsh) Lail, formerly of Ohio, and seven siblings.

Mr. Lail was an Army veteran and a 60-year member of the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Iron Workers Union. He led the singing at Harco Baptist Church and New Hope Missionary Baptist Church for several years.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010, at Reed Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Cain Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Reed Funeral Chapel.
