Loren E. Lambert

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Loren E. Lambert, 79, passed away at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, at his residence in Harrisburg.

Loren was born Sept. 29, 1931, in Harrisburg to Maggie (Perkins) Lambert and Loren Lambert. He attended Muddy Grade School and Harrisburg High School. He served in the Korean Conflict from 1952 to 1954. He married the former Lois Randolph on Jan. 31, 1955, and she survives in Harrisburg.

Loren was owner of Lambert Excavating from 1982 to 1998. He attended Honeycomb Church of God in Hardin County.

Loren was father to two children, Greg (Barb) Lambert of Harrisburg and Kim (Joe) Carter of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren, Carrie Duffee of Harrisburg, Maggie (Billy) Kinser of Harrisburg and Michael Cole of Houston, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Paige and Bryer Duffee of Harrisburg.

He leaves four sisters, Edna Abney of Harrisburg, Wilma Hicks of Harrisburg, Judy (David) Briddick of Eldorado and Della Bozarth of Valparaiso, Ind.; three sisters-in-law, Vivian Randolph, Bonita Hancock and Sue (John) Mott; one brother-in-law, Byrum Wallace; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. Harold Miller will officiate; burial will follow in Butler Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26, 2010, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or Honeycomb Church of God.
