Dolores 'Dot' Fowler

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Dolores "Dot" Fowler passed away Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010, at Meadowbrook Nursing Home in Bolingbrook.

She was born on Feb. 12, 1934, in Harrisburg, the daughter of George and Sylvia Fowler. Dolores graduated from Harrisburg Township High School in the Class of 1952. In Harrisburg, she was employed as a receptionist and medical secretary to Dr. W.D. Tuttle and Dr. Grover Sloan.

Dolores moved to Joliet in 1973 and was employed at Silver Cross Hospital there. Her interests centered on her family of origin, teaching young children in Sunday School and playing the piano at church. Later, she retired from the Olympia Fields Osteopathic Hospital in Olympia Fields.

Dolores is survived by one sister, Norma (Ferrell) Cochrane of Plainfield; two nieces, Sherri Engleman of Manhattan and Suzanne Sims of Wilmington, Ohio; and her nephew, Donald Ferrell of Hampshire and their families.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Loveda Paulus of DeKalb.

A private family graveside service will be conducted prior to burial at Lindale Cemetery in Harrisburg.
