William T. Hazel

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[William T. Hazel, 52, of Eldorado, formerly of Shawneetown, died Friday, Nov. 19, 2010, as the result of an hunting accident.

Bill, as most knew him, was born in Sturgis, Ky., on Aug. 8, 1958, to Marlan and Bertha (Wright) Hazel. He worked in the coal mines as a truck driver. Bill loved to hunt and fish and was always a good worker. He had a big heart and would do anything for anybody. He was a good father, brother, son and friend and will be greatly missed.

Bill is survived by two sons, Eric Hazel of Equality and David Hazel of Old Shawneetown; two daughters, Erin (Tim) Oldham of Old Shawneetown and Sarah Hazel of Old Shawneetown; two brothers, Charles Hazel of Henderson, Ky., and Vernon Hazel of Old Shawneetown; two sisters, Pauline Doyle of Old Shawneetown and Susie Clark of Scott City, Mo.; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Bessie Cobb.

Visitation for Bill was 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, at the Cox and Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown. Graveside services followed at 2 p.m. at the Hazel Bend Cemetery near Sturgis, Ky., with the Rev. Bob Powell officiating.
